Ready for phase 1

Sorry its been a while..... been waiting to have enough to share with ya'll.

First.... treatment side effects seem to have lessened and I have been doing better than the first week or so. Im setup for my 2nd shot the 16th.... assuming I will have a week of blah again, but hoping its less and continues to lessen as I get more injections.

Primary surgery is scheduled for 3/7. Will likely be in hospital min 3 days. This will include the following:

  • bowel resection (terminal ileum etc) - still robotic to my knowledge.

  • lymph nodes and mesenteric mass should go to (will confirm next week)

  • appendix out (just because)

  • gall bladder out. (mainly to avoid issues with my treatment in the future)

The Liver surgeon will be doing the gall bladder removal and he/we are hoping that he can get a look at some of the tumors while in there and maybe gain some more knowledge. We see him next week and will be able to ask all the questions and get all the info on his plan. This team still agree that we should wait for primary removal and some treatment before we start attacking my liver (aka sack of rocks). They have all reviewed the latest scan I got a few weeks ago. That's about it for now. Will share anything new after all the pre surgical visits etc. Feeling pretty helpless, but also positive if that make sense. We have to do this first step and see how things react after...... Dont really have a choice so I gotta just suck it up and power through it. As always, we appreciate all of you who are following, checking in, giving us space etc.

Have a great weekend everyone!!! RIP Chubs/Apollo Creed - the great Carl Weathers
